Our Favorite 2022 Trend Predictions

We always love this time of year when all of the new years predictions come out on everything including designs, fashion, guest experiences, and everything else involved with wedding planning and the big day! So here are our favorites that we’ve been seeing a lot of and have already started including in some of our 2022 designs as well!

Destination Weddings

Photography by Lacey Harvey

You can celebrate love anywhere, so why not show your love at your ideal destination location. Even if that’s just a couple of states away or in a different country! Destination weddings are the perfect way to celebrate all week long with your loved ones and can also sometimes help with cost depending on resort special packages.

Planning Pre & Post Wedding Events for Your Guests

Whether it’s a welcome party dinner, a goodbye brunch, or anything in between, coordinating other events for your guests is always a nice way to include your guests in more weekend activities other than just the day of the wedding. Which will be much appreciated, especially for those who are traveling near and far for your special day!

Bold Color Palettes

Don’t get us wrong, we still love the gorgeous elegance of the more neutral tones, but sometimes playing with a little color can be really good for the soul! Even if you have dreamt of lighter toned wedding, why not have fun with the other events before and after the big day! Like spicing up a welcome party dinner with bold colors and exotic floral like this one above!

Bubble Sleeve Dresses

We are just in love with the statement this style gives!

Statement Ceremony Details

We always love a statement piece, and one of the first things your guests will see on your wedding day is the ceremony. So wow them from the beginning with a beautiful floral installment, an intricate alter backdrop, or even an incredible view.

Specialty Wedding Vendors

We are seeing this more and more with our couples, with adding more entertainment vendors for their guests to enjoy. This could be a cigar roller there to teach guests the technique while they get to enjoy smoking a custom rolled cigar. We’ve also seen a whisky tasting expert, a fragrance perfumer, and even a fortune teller!

Skipping Typical Traditions

Photography by Ali Valdez Photography

With the changes that we continue to see in weddings, couples are still deciding to do their own thing outside of the traditional wedding ceremonies and receptions. Because who wants to be basic anyways? Our favorite non-tradition is going all in with a fun and easy elopement at your local courthouse and end it with an intimate dinner with your closest friends and family.

Fun Food & Beverage Options

Another non-traditional item that we are seeing couples do on their wedding day is picking different cuisines and styles for dinner. We are still seeing the typical plated and buffet-style dinner, but we are still more styles being used like serving family-style, full cocktail styled receptions, and custom crazing stations are starting to become the new buffet. This is the same for cocktails, with the couple’s specialty drinks still a hot item, we are seeing more varieties of bars like mobile tap bars, champagne bars, martini bars, and everything else you can think of!

Organic Floral Cake Designs

This one we are loving and seeing everywhere! It’s such a fun way to incorporate your florals but we love the organic feel and whimsical look that we are seeing more with the cake designs!
